Gaviscon Dual Action Liquid Peppermint provides fast, soothing and long-lasting relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn (gastric reflux) and indigestion. Its dual-acting formula both neutralises excess stomach acid and helps stop acid rising into the oesophagus.

How it works

Gaviscon Dual Action combines antacids with sodium alginate. The antacids help reduce excess stomach acid, easing discomfort, while the alginate forms a “raft-like” layer that sits on top of the stomach contents and helps prevent reflux into the food pipe.

Directions for use

• Shake well before use.
• Children 6–12 years: 10 mL as required after meals and before bed, up to 4 times daily.
• Adults and children over 12 years: 20 mL as required after meals and before bed, up to 4 times daily.
• Or use as directed by your health professional.

Active ingredients (per 10 mL)

• Sodium alginate 500 mg
• Sodium bicarbonate 213 mg
• Calcium carbonate 325 mg

Warnings

• Not recommended for children under 6 years.
• The maximum adult daily dose (80 mL) contains around 1 g of sodium – consider this if you are on a low-sodium diet.
• Contains hydroxybenzoates, saccharin and sodium.
• Does not contain aluminium, sugar, gluten or artificial colouring.
• Store below 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
